Hello, i want to run a hailo-8 chip on my pi 5, but i am already using the pcie port for nvme ssd, is it possible to use a usb3 to m2 external adapater to harness a hailo-8?
Hey @out0fstep2u ,
Yes, it’s possible to do this. While we don’t typically recommend it on the Raspberry Pi due to resource constraints, it works well when using Hailo-8 on a personal laptop. This is actually a technique we commonly use in laptop development environments.

would something like this work for the pi build i suggested:
Most likely yes - based on the specifications, this appears to have the compatible key for the Hailo8 M.2 PCIe.
