Is it possible to connect the Hailo M.2 M Key module to a B+M Key slot?
As I know, the PCIe M Key can generally be connected to a B+M Key slot, and in such cases, the bandwidth is reduced to 2 lanes. Is this also the case for the Hailo M Key products?
No, the PCIe B+M slot has two keys inside the slot. The B key prevents the insertion of an M.2 Key M module because the module has a notch only in the M position and not in the B position.
However, a Hailo-8 M.2 B+M module can be inserted into a PCIe Key M slot, as it has notches for both key positions.
There was some confusion in my inquiry.
My question is whether a Hailo-8 M Key with 4 lanes can be used as 2 lanes through a connector like a B+M key converter.
