Request for Pre-compiled DFC File for Raspberry Pi 5 (macOS Compatibility Issues)**

Hi HAILO Community,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m currently working on a project involving the HAILO platform on a Raspberry Pi 5, but I’ve encountered a challenge with compiling the necessary HAILO Dataflow Compiler DFC file.

Unfortunately, I have two Mac computers, but both are running older versions of macOS, which are incompatible with the software required to compile the DFC file. Due to these system limitations, I’m unable to proceed with the compilation process myself.

Would anyone here happen to have a pre-compiled DFC file for Raspberry Pi 5 that I could use? Or if you could point me to a resource where I could find one, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your time and help!

Best regards,
Kimi

Hey @amazingkimi6

Welcome to the Hailo Community!

We’d like to clarify your needs:

  1. Are you seeking a pre-trained model for use on a Raspberry Pi?
  2. Or do you intend to use the Dataflow Compiler (DFC) on the Raspberry Pi?

Please note that the DFC is designed for network compilation. For optimal results, we typically recommend:

  • Using it within a Docker container on a Linux system (x86 architecture)
  • Utilizing a GPU for better performance

If you’re using macOS, consider setting up a virtual machine to run the DFC in a Linux environment.

Let us know which option you’re interested in, and we’ll be happy to provide further guidance.

Best Regards,
Omri
