RetinaNet Support on Raspberry Pi AI Hat+ (Hailo-8L)?

Hi, I just want to confirm if it’s possible to run RetinaNet inference on a Raspberry Pi 5 using the Raspberry Pi AI Hat+ with the built-in Hailo-8L accelerator.

Is RetinaNet supported by the Hailo toolchain, or is there a recommended way to convert it for Hailo?

Hey @gigi,

Welcome to the Hailo Community!

Yeah, absolutely! We’ve got plenty of RetinaNet models available in the model zoo that you can check out. If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for in there, you can always convert your own using the model zoo and our DFC (Data Flow Compiler). It’s really not too complicated—should be pretty straightforward as long as your model isn’t overly complex.

Hope this helps!

Hi, thank you for the response! I just found out today that someone replied to my post lol. Anyway, I did scan the model zoo but I can’t seem to find RetinaNet in there. I guess I’ll have to convert it on my own using the DFC that you’ve mentioned. Though I may not know how for now, I’ll try to read more infos about this before I get started. Many thanks!
