Missing library for face recognition

Hi everybody, I’m a total newbie and, therefore, I hope I’m posting my question in the right place.

I have Raspberry Pi 5 + Hailo-10H with HailoRT 5.2.0 and hailo-tappas-core 5.2.0. When running face_recognition.py from hailo-apps, I get: Could not load lib libvms_face_align.so. This library is not present in my TAPPAS installation. How can I get this library for ARM64/aarch64?"
What I’ve currently installed, following instructions coming from this website and some help from Claude, is:
dpkg -l | grep hailo

 dpkg -l | grep hailo
ii hailo-gen-ai-model-zoo 5.2.0 arm64 Hailo Model Zoo Gen AI
ii hailo-models 1.0.0-2 all AI models for Hailo modules
ii hailo-tappas-core 5.2.0 arm64 Core components of the Hailo TAPPAS platform
ii hailort 5.2.0 arm64 AI acceleration runtime library for Hailo hardware
ii hailort-pcie-driver 5.2.0 all Hailo PCIe driver and firmware for AI hardware acceleration
ii python3-hailo-tappas 5.1.0 arm64 Python binding for tappas
ii rpicam-apps-hailo-postprocess 1.12.0-1 arm64 Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ post-processing plugin for rpicam-apps

I’ve stopped any activity as I don’t know how to progress. Any help is welcome
Thank you

Hi @Fabrizio_Bianchi,

Thanks for the list - It’s very imformative and tells me that you have the mixed versions arrived from a recent APT update that had some issues with Hailo-packages.
This was fixed and now you need to:

  1. Follow the complete uninstall process to start from fresh clean envioronmentL Raspberry Trixie Error with Guide (Pi 5, AI Hat 2) - #18 by Michael
  2. Follow this guide for new installation: https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentation/computers/ai.html, especially that part to bring the fixed packages to APT:
sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade -y
sudo rpi-eeprom-update -a
sudo reboot
  1. The correct list should be:
