What an incredible response to our Whisper Community Challenge! We’re thrilled to announce our two winners who created amazing solutions to make Hailo-accelerated Whisper accessible to everyone.
Our Winners:
@mpeex - Built a Wyoming protocol server that seamlessly integrates Whisper with Home Assistant! This clever solution enables lightning-fast, local voice command processing for smart homes using Hailo-8 and Hailo-8L accelerators. Perfect for anyone wanting privacy-first voice control without cloud dependencies.
@MafiaCoconut - Created a dockerized FastAPI web service that delivers high-performance, real-time speech-to-text transcription. Clean, efficient, and optimized for both Hailo-8 and Hailo-8L hardware - exactly what developers need for production deployments.
Both projects are open-source, well-documented, and ready for the community to build upon. Marco and Aleksandr have each earned a 26 TOPS AI HAT+ and $100 Amazon Gift Card for their outstanding contributions.
