can i Download Hailio software's in AMD ryzens with 3000 and 5000 series

Hi Hailo Team,

I am currently considering a switch from Intel to AMD Ryzen 3000/5000 series for development and training purposes. Before making the purchase, I would like to inquire about the compatibility and support for Hailo software (Hailo Dataflow Compiler, HailoRT, TAPPAS, etc.) on AMD platforms.

Could you kindly provide guidance or suggestions regarding the system requirements and any known issues or performance considerations when using AMD Ryzen processors for Hailo software development?

Your insights would be greatly appreciated as they will help inform my hardware decision. Looking forward to your advice.

Generally speaking, all Hailo SW packages are supported on AMD CPUs, both in the toolchain side (Hailo Dataflow Compiler) and in the deployment side (HailoRT / TAPPAS).

There are two disclaimers I can think about:

  1. The Dataflow Compiler optionally relies on Nvidia GPUs to accelerate the Model Optimization process. It is not supported on AMD GPUs.
  2. Some example apps in TAPPAS optionally rely on Intel QuickSync for accelerated video decoding.
