Hi - are there non-HDMI displays that will work when the Hailo Raspberry Pi AI kit is attached? I want to use a small display and the display connector is used by the M2.HAT+. Are there other alternatives?

The Raspberry Pi has a micro-HDMI port. You can use a micro-HDMI to DisplayPort adapter to connect it to a DisplayPort monitor.

That is not the case. The M.2 HAT+ is connected to the PCIe connector. That is just in the location of the DSI connector on the Raspberry Pi 4.
The Raspberry Pi 5 has two CSI camera / DSI display ports. You can connect your display to one of them. See here
